Tonight was the last scheduled full Council meeting before Diss Town Council rests for the summer.

The meeting covered areas such as; a report from our County Councillor, uses for a public phone box, the purchase of a special memorial plaque for Alderman and ex Diss Town Councillor Glynn Walden, funding for a red poppies installation to mark Remembrance  Day, update the mourning protocol for the death of a senior national figure, and also the co-option of our latest councillor – Cllr Doreen Collins.

I would like to congratulate Cllr Collins and welcome her to the council. I am sure her skills and expertise will not only benefit the council but also the community she will serve.
