Carnival Committee to host fundraising events

22 March 2024

The Diss Carnival committee are determined to keep the event on Sunday 16th June a free day out for the thousands of revellers that have attended in the last few years. Over the last few months they have focused on gaining sponsorship and funding from various organisations and businesses that are happy to provide their support.

Local businesses including Travis Perkins, Pearce & Kemp, Larking Gowen, Rosedale Funeral Home, HL Perfitts, Phoenix Events East, Baileys Fish & Chips, Tudor Bakehouse, Reads Property, Adkins Opticians, Lexham Insurance, Scott Properties, Dipple and Conway, Diss Scaffolding and Priory Healthcare have all contributed towards the cost of the day. The committee would like to say a special thank you to all of you for your support.

On 30th March, the committee will be holding a cake stall on the Market Place, selling lots of tasty homemade treats, with all proceeds going towards the event. Come along and satisfy those sweet cravings! Thank you for your support.

Members of the Carnival crew will also be selling raffle tickets to win a fantastic selection of prizes in Mere Street on market days in the lead up to Carnival, as well as on the day itself. Again, the prizes have all been donated by local businesses, organisations and people. From beauty and restaurant vouchers to experiences, gifts and more, you could be in with a chance of winning a real treat!

Finally, the team will be holding a Car Boot Sale at Diss Park on Sunday 28th April 2024 from 7am to 1pm. Pitches will cost £5, with all proceeds going to the Carnival 2024 fund. No need to book – simply turn up on the day!

We’ve been very busy planning lots of exciting things for this year’s ‘Wild West’ Carnival on 16th June – Give our ‘Diss Carnival’ Facebook page a follow for lots of teasers coming your way in the next few months!
